Yukiko Okawa, the designer, worked for eight years at the esteemed bespoke shoemaker John Lobb in London, where she had the opportunity to make shoes for Queen Elizabeth.

Bench Made is her own brand and workshop, which she launched after returning to Japan.
Her philosophy is to create shoes tailored to each customer, designed to last for 30 years with proper repair and care
